Hollywood native Jo Martin got her start in the film industry as a driver
for visual effects master Peter Kuran at VCE, Inc. in Hollywood. Where she spent years serving
in various capacities including production assistant, stage manager, props, wardrobe, videography, visual effects editor and
eventually video editor. Martin’s credits include “Robocop,” “Beetlejuice,” “The Addams
Family” and “Starship Troopers.” After VCE, Martin spent three years as an animation editor with Hyper Image
in Glendale, where her credits include “Trollz,” “Horseland” "Dino Squad" and “Strawberry
Shortcake.” Her side projects include "Viva Burlesque!", a documentary about the world of modern burlesque
and for the past six years, Martin has worked with the executive team from Carlton Hair International directing, shooting
and editing video shorts for their annual Hair Show & Award Ceremony. In early 2011, Martin worked with
Moving Target on "Get the Gringo" as Visual FX Coordinator and later spent 3 months driving across the country for Allied Integrated Marketing. Martin was one of a team of two
who provided a live green screen set up, lighting, videography, directing and editing for the 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment: MILLION MOMENTS mobile van tour. The tour gave film fans the opportunity to recreate and record their favorite scenes in
front of a green scren. The team stopped in 18 cities and visited over 30 consumer, media and charity events. Martin is currently editing at Wild
Brain Entertainment, working with the post production team from Hyper Image Studios.
